Basement Finishing Contractor in Utah County

An unfinished basement is usually the cheapest square footage you'll ever add to your house — as long as the layout, egress, and electrical are thought through before the framing goes up. Webb handles basement finishes from the first chalk line to the final trim, and the wiring and lighting are done in-house rather than handed to whoever is available.

What a basement finish usually includes

Every basement is different, but most projects we manage include some mix of the following. Webb self-performs the electrical and coordinates licensed subcontractors for the other trades.

  • Layout and framing of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space
  • Electrical rough-in: circuits, outlets, switches, smoke and CO detection
  • Recessed and accent lighting, plus a plan for where the switches actually go
  • Plumbing rough-in for a bathroom or wet bar (licensed plumbing sub)
  • HVAC runs and returns so the finished space is actually comfortable
  • Insulation, drywall, texture, and paint
  • Flooring — LVP, carpet, or tile depending on the room
  • Doors, baseboard, casing, and finish carpentry
  • Egress window coordination where a bedroom requires one
  • Storage and utility room clean-up
  • Entertainment areas: wiring for TVs, speakers, and low-voltage runs
  • Permit applications, inspection scheduling, and project coordination

General contracting with electrical expertise built in.

Most general contractors sub out the electrical and wait on somebody else's calendar. Webb is licensed on both sides, so the trade that touches nearly every phase of the job is already on the crew.

Basement finishes are electrically heavy — a bedroom, bath, kitchenette, and theater area can each need their own circuits.

We check whether your existing panel has room before framing starts, instead of discovering it at rough-in.

Lighting layout is designed with the framing, so cans land where they should and switches end up where your hand goes.

How the project runs

1

Initial conversation

A phone call or message where you describe what you're thinking about. We'll tell you honestly whether it's a job we're a good fit for.

2

Site walkthrough

We look at ceiling height, existing mechanicals, the panel, and where the drain stub is — the four things that decide what's realistic downstairs.

3

Scope & estimate

You get a written scope listing what's included, what isn't, and an allowance for the items you still get to pick.

4

Planning & scheduling

Permit applications, material selections, and a sequence for the trades — worked out before demo day, not during.

5

Construction

The crew runs the job with regular updates from Webb. Inspections are scheduled as the work reaches each stage.

6

Final walkthrough

We walk the finished space together, build a punch list, and close it out before we call the project done.

Schedules depend on permitting, inspections, and material availability. We give you a projected sequence and keep you updated rather than promise dates outside our control.
